SCHOOLS CLOSED FOR IN-PERSON LEARNING ON MARCH 3, 2021
BCPS provided the initial COVID-19 vaccines to all elementary schools and some middle school staff on February 9, 2021. This places the second vaccination on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. The second vaccine has caused some side effects for recipients although they are typically short-lived. With the concern for mild to moderate illness after this, we will be closing all schools to students on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, and the day will be a remote learning day. All schools will be open and operating on a normal schedule on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
We are going to cancel the Instructional Collaboration Day on April 28th and make it a regular school day in order to make up some of our in-person learning time that has been disrupted by vaccinations.
